QEM Mask - Odors and Pollutants Absorbed
Preliminary tests performed by a U.S. military testing laboratory on the Activated Carbon Cloth (ACC) used in the QEM indicate a 97.74 percent filtration efficiency of Bacillus Spores. According to the lab, the QEM is the first mask it has tested utilizing ACC that effectively filters both chemical and biological agents at the same time.
The QEM is comprised of six layers of protective materials including:
-- Outer protective layer - Poly/Cotton blend cloth
-- Particulate and aerosol filtration layer - Non-woven fabric
-- Biological and chemical filtration layer - Activated Carbon Blanket
-- Harmful smoke and gas absorption layer - Activated Carbon Blanket
-- Micro filtration and absorption layer - Activated Carbon Cloth
-- Inner protective layer - Poly/Cotton blend cloth
